I don't believe most schools (curriculum/faculty-wise) fall under Congressional jurisdiction unless we're talking about Federal funding, but even then that would fall under the Department of Education, correct?

CRT sucks, incidentally, so I'm glad to hear Florida is passing laws mandating a focus on equality. Oklahoma did something similar, if I'm not mistaken.

Texas' 1836 project is a little more concerning. I had a conversation with Sloth about it and have resolved to look into it more closely (usually I don't bother with Texas, since I live in a superior state anyways, but this is very much a matter that appeals to my historian heart).

I disagree; facts don't care about feelings. CRT merely highlights the notion that there is no African American who can benefit from the notion of "Old Money" as whites can. Even when they started to establish themselves, Tulsa fire bombings took place; many were killed. Of course, it is more nuanced than this, but I looked it over and I do not see CRT as racist in the slightest.

CRT may try to tread that line in principle (and I can see it, not saying you're spewing nonsense here), but in reality everything I've seen as far as its execution has been distilled to, "All whites are bad because some whites who came before them were bad." That is wrong, plain and simple.

We need to candidly teach our history, including the miles of black [used rhetorically, not as a reference to skin color...I'm sure you get this but I'd hate to be misconstrued.] that stain America's ledger. What we don't need is people trying to take that black record and use it to somehow tarnish the present day. We need to build each other up, not tear each other down.
