Basically, I posted a selfie of myself on the fun stream with the caption: "How popular can this get?". Long story short, it got over 100k views, and at least 1.8k upvotes before I deleted to stop the harassment I got.

Apparently people (myself included) kept bullying him just because he kept posting selfies of himself in the fun stream

Basically what happened was they took selfies of themselves and asked people to upvote them, it honestly isn’t that bad but some people care so much about points that they made a huge deal out of it.
