I got stitches in my lip when I was 4 because I thought it was a good idea to slide down this hot wheel ramp my brother made out out toy box lid. It ended up collapsing when i was halfway down and I bit down on my lip. When I was getting the stitches the doctors promised me that it would only be 1 shot to numb the pain. According to my dad who was sitting in that same room it was about 6-8 shots. I was thrashing around so much that they needed to bind me to the operating chair. For some weird reason is only remember 3 things, the numbing shots, this one woman who was at the very end of the hall telling me that I screamed so loud that she could hear from there, and this weird princess horse movie playing on a small tv in the room to keep me distracted. Because I was in preschool then I still had to go to school. Lunches were provided but you were not allowed to pack your lunch unless you had a doctors note or a food allergy. So if you got to pack your lunch you were the coolest kid. I could only eat soft foods so I got to pack for 2 weeks. I ended up pulling out my stitches during nap time like a week in.
