Mainly due to how things were back in the 90s and now. You cant make alot of adult jokes because it could get cancelled for doing so. thats probably why all the characters feel so weak to me and you.

Exactly. None of the original writes came back, and it shows. The only segments that stay true to the original are the Pinky and the Brain segments
