I'd rather announce I'm leaving like a petulant spoiled child. My point is that both trends are annoying and betray the egocentric nature of the person doing it. I don't need to know if a stranger is leaving imgflip, and it's dangerous for teenagers to do face reveals where the whole internet can access their image. This isn't a secure website or private chatroom.
