Step 1 - don't listen to anyone in this stream.
Step 2 - take lots of computer classes - focus on information systems curriculum
Step 3 - practice writing code, learn lots of languages
Step 4 - realize that if you get caught hacking, many states classify hacking as a 3rd strike offense - you go to jail forever.

I stopped "hacking" in the mid 90's when California passed a 3rd strike law, meaning that a 1st offense turns into a 3rd strike offense and ends up being a life sentence.

It was at that time that I started doing security research, and ethical hacking - companies would pay me to hack into their systems in order to expose their security flaws (both physical and digital). That turned into a forensics business where companies and governments would pay me to break into password protected files (sanctioned) in order to fulfill court ordered evidence discovery.

Now I write security software, for servers - and I secure systems for businesses. I have too much to lose to actually engage in illegal hacking activities now - but I pen test my own systems and systems for my customers...which is sort of like hacking...but to my own systems or systems I'm authorized to test.

People get mad about real hacking. Ask Kevin Mitnik. There was a nationwide manhunt for him.

any tips on removing my school's thing of blocking youtube?

It depends on how they're blocking it. If they're mangling DNS, then you can try altering the DNS of your computer to google DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4)

If they're doing deep packet inspection on a firewall - the only way around it is to use a VPN, which you probably can't set up on a school computer.

nope, they block VPNs and proxies, the only way I can get past it is, because Chromebooks are a bit slow it takes a second for it to turn on, so I have to type the URL really quickly, maybe something exploiting that 🤔 maybe google can help me with that

maybe they're using family-link - that works at the browser level. I'm not sure there's a way around that.

Oh yeah, try this:

they use something called content keeper, it is a browser extension, the annoying part is, I used non-school computer, and downloaded extension to see source code, would only have to delete one line of code (I think)

no, its called content keeper, annoying thing is, I used a nonschool computer, and downloaded an extension code viewer, it is literally one line of code (i think) that if it got deleted would take off all restrictions

OK, this is going to sound a bit weird - but if you can follow along, I think this will get you past the CKAuthenticator (Content Keeper)

Disabling this chrome extension is probably not going to be easy. I don't know what safeguards the school has in place, but from what I'm reading - it's nearly impossible to disable unless you're the administrator.

So, don't use the pre-installed Chrome :)

use the PortableApps.com version of chrome.

Basically:
1. Install PortableApps on your USB drive
2. Install their portable version of Google Chrome
3. Plug the USB drive into any computer
4. Run Google Chrome directly from the USB drive

I'm intrigued - I'll look into finding a way to disable that.....just because I'm not a fan of censorship :)
