It's not so much for my comfort, but those who are malleable to your speech and start to adopt it as covenant. I understand humor and appreciate it for what it is. Unfortunately, there are those who take such humor seriously.
Take George Carlin for example. A lot of what he said is repeated by young males as doctrine and covenant, but he has said numerous times in the past that what he says isn't meant to be taken seriously. Yet, they do it anyway.
Do I think that people are going to build catapults for immigrants? No. I do think that they will partake in racial rhetoric more and more feeding into a cycle that ultimately slips them into complete racism; kind of like the boiled frog analogy. I wrote a psychology paper on it once.
Most users on here, I think, are Americans. And there's really only one immigration problem that America is alleged to face and that is immigration from the southern border. Given the image, it stands to reason that this is once you're referencing as we have a wall that barely got 10% built.. (Is it even that much?) When walls are concerned, one would use trebuchets to launch projectiles over them.
Given the narrative to the memes you submit, it is reasonable to make the assumption that given your heavy interest in American politics that you are American. It is very rare on this site to see people from other contries taking a vested interest in politics.
If this is incorrect, then of course, my apologies. I was taking your meme in dark humor in my context as one does with humor.
A better alternative would be to find a scene from monty python or mel brooks in which a man is loading himself into a catapult. I seem to remember that being a thing in one of their movies, but I am not sure which.
The way this image is presented, it comes off as "Git thoz mexicuns outta my country." with a light dashing of "Dark Humor." as a disclaimer so it simply isn't a racist statement.
Again, not bothered by the image. More concerned for others who jump the band wagon without thinking critically. It *is* known that minors do frequent this site and are thus impressionable to such narratives.
