They're middle schoolers...their life is drama. They don't understand that they're giving me points by interacting with me - even after I told them.....

I don't remember being this dumb in middle school....then again, video games weren't as prevalent at that time and I managed to retain and cultivate some brain cells during that period in my life.

I think this may be the most truth ever. Us retired veterans find it refreshing to know that there is hope for the world yet. It will not be social media. Not in any way.

Oh no, absolutely not - at least, not until there's personal accountability. The worst thing about the modern internet is the anonymity - people can get away with anything, so they become the worst versions of themselves.

Case in point - my wife breeds and sells livestock, and made a sale to a woman who she had a great conversation with regarding breeds. The very next day, that same woman trashed my wife on Facebook after misinterpreting something she posted. So, my wife has printed all of it out and the next time this woman approaches her to make a purchase - she will be confronted with her own words.

My wife says she won't sell to her again, but I'm skeptical.....

Oh as a Veteran I lasted like a month on Facebook before they banned me for calling out terrorists. And on twitter Veterans started slamming other veterans and that is not our code. No Honor, courage or commitment online. Not even a little. They THINK they are anonymous on sites but every computer has a digital signature and the extreme posters are watched. Closely.

Of course you can't - because that's what modern games take from you, imagination. Day after day, you spend time getting wrapped into someone else's imagination - constrained by the limitations they place on your actions within their imagination - and ultimately, the only person to benefit from the game is the creator. As a player, you spend your time on an activity that gains you nothing. You don't come out of the experience with any useful skills, and now your life is that much shorter - having wasted precious time on an activity that's designed to waste time.
