For many middle easterners of arab descent it is merely enough that Israel exists and is not controlled by Muslims. For the average leftist it is because they are all emotions and very little thought. They compare over all skin tone values and then decide victimization upon that. They therefore side with ANYONE attacking Israel for any reason whatsoever, period; and due almost strictly according to which side usually has got the darker skin tone. It is a weird judgement system, but it is what most leftists are comfortable with embracing as their universal standard. For them it beats . . . THINKING.
