Why tf does Unova have so many

Galar has 10 gyms but there are version exclusives like ghost and ice are in shield whip fighting and rock are in sword the other 6 are grass water fire fairy dark and dragon which are in both games. Only the version exclusives are challenging the rest I beat in 2 tries (only because my team was on low after the challenge before the battle)

Well, each region is SUPPOSED to have 8.... but most of them just added more. Like Unova, just adding 6 more for some reason
