First of all, i think the nether wastes are boring. It is sort of cool that mojang tried to incorporate the old nether style into its own unique biome. However, its useless and doesn't offer much besides getting gold ore easier since more netherack is exposed
As for the warped and crimson forest, both are just the same tbh. I sort of prefer the warped forest. The only hostile mob there is endermen, which only get hostile if u look at them. Its a good source of ender pearls too. plus the warped wood is awesome. Crimson on the other hand is cool, but a bit more deadly. Sure, u can evade the piglins with gold armor, but then theres the hoglins to be careful of. If your portal happens to spawn in the middle of a crimson forest, you're gonna have a bad time trying to get out. Overall, it seems just like a copy and paste of one another
Basalt delta biomes are VERY deadly. Not onlt do you have to worry about falling into a lava pool when moving around the basalt towers, but then you have to evade the tons of magma cubes that spawn everywhere. However, it does offer the best source of basalt and blackstone, two of my favorite building blocks, so the rewards are pretty good tbh.
Lastly, soul sand biomes are just the worst. First of all, If u don't have soul speed boots, or blocks to parkour off, it takes forever to travel across. Secondly, You have to worry about skeletons. not only cant u run fast, but its hard to even get to the skeletons to kill them when they can easily shoot u. And then theres ghasts. Theres so MANY of them in the soul sand valley. The only good thing about soul sand valleys are the fossils fr bonemeal, and just a good amount of soul sand if u need it. Other than that, I usually try to stay away from it.
