It’s so much darker when a light goes out than it would have been if it had never shone. Like a bird singing in the rain, let grateful memories survive in time of sorrow. Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy. The darker the night, the brighter the stars. The deeper the grief, the closer to God. People are like stained-glass windows.
They sparkle and shine when the sun is out,
but when the darkness sets in; their true beauty is revealed
only if there light is from within.
