St. Thomas Aquinas is the superior philosopher.

I'm afraid we disagree on some very fundamental truths...

However, it's my opinion that most philosophers have at least a few good things to say, even if you don't agree with their overarching philosophy. I don't believe that Jesus is God-made-flesh, but I can appreciate the ideas Jesus espoused during his Sermon on the Mount.

Aquinas had some good ideas, but I can draw a straight line from his philosophy to many of the problems I have with Christianity as a culture.

Not sure what issues you'd have with Christianity as a culture, but you're certainly entitled to your own view.

Bigotry against LGBTQ+, closed-mindedness about sexuality, intolerance towards other religions/spiritual beliefs, promoting violence against doctors who perform abortions, mega-churches and the greed they represent, prosperity gospel and the greed it represents, and rampant hypocrisy. Pile on top of all of this the unwillingness to consider the Bible as a historical document that is fallible/mistranslated/misunderstood because it would necessitate a fundamental shift in the Christian Religion that might - JUST MIGHT - force them to live by their own Golden Rule and the ideals espoused by Jesus during Sermon on the Mount.

And before you say that - OF COURSE, I'm not talking about all Christians! However, the loudest and most powerful denominations in America today set the tone of religion in America and even the most liberal denominations fail to denounce them or fight against their message. So, yeah, I don't take kindly to what Christianity (it's current culture/iteration) represents.

Sounds like you're describing a few hardline Protestant groups, not Christians as a whole.
