Not really. I don't really "appreciate their gender" until after the feelings have been established. The same goes for looks. For example, I had a romantic interest for my best friend (cis female). I wasn't really aware of just how beautiful she is until after I realized I had those feelings for her. What does confuse me, however, is how I interact with different genders. Like earlier today I was thinking about I get along much better with females than males. Most of my friends have been females (1 is enby, no male friends), so does this mean I have a subconscious pull towards females? Or something else? What do you think? Ask any questions needed for clarification.
