Chapter 4 -
The blonde haired boy held a small photograph. A small blonde haired boy and a green haired scrawny looking child posed beside a pot with two sunflowers. It wasn’t obvious, but the green haired boy planted both the flowers. Unlike him, Izuku had a green thumb, while all the flowers he touches immediately wilts.
“This is you…” Izuku pointed to the taller flower “ and this is me!” He pointed to the shorter one.
“I’m the taller one?” Katsuki asked. “ but you grew these plants all by yourself, Izuku!”
“But you’re always bigger than me, Kacchan! You’re way cooler and much stronger and much handsomer than me!”
“Aww, don’t you two look so cute!” said Inko as she held her camera in front of them. “Smile!”
Katsuki, now 14, reflected on all his memories with Izuku. How he mistreated him all these years, how he always made him feel inferior, how he murdered him. This was all his fault, his scars, his death, it’s all fault. He didn’t deserve this.
“Kacchan! Are you okay? Did you hurt yourself in that fall?” piped the little boy, extending his hand, eight years and he’s still giving a helping hand. Katsuki reached for his hand but it was too late, he was gone.
He felt two cold tears stream down his face unto the photograph. “I’m sorry, Deku…” he said “ I promise, I’ll change from now on.”
