where do you get your inspiration for all the dimensions and stuff? Mine is the multiverser lore of gravity falls

My way of making these dimensions are the kinda of a little bit of “What can I make that this dimension can have that no other dimension has?” Like a loop dimension where people can all the sudden get stuck in a time loop, Or a dimension that has an item that controls any dimension.
