If it's not word for word, then it's not a repost. There has to be some change for it not to qualify as a repost. Also, most people find their "inspiration" from images and text they've seen or stumbled across elsewhere; that's just how knowledge spreads. The MODs, for the most part, know this and don't judge too harshly when a similar meme pops up. When it's blatant, they'll take it down. People take old jokes and attach them to new images to make a different meme, while others take old images and tweak the words to somehow change it a bit. That's common, and acceptable....to most. I've not seen this image on Imgflip, but there are thousands of submittals every day, so it's hard to know if and when it was on here unless you filter through every meme every day before submitting. And there is really no telling who saw it first and where they got it. This was an image from a website, where I just changed the language being used...not very original, but different just the same. The upvotes are the real judge here. If it were crap, people wouldn't be upvoting it.
