electric cars are way too expensive for a lot of people, so no one will get one because of that, and the maintenance is so complex you would need to take it to the dealership to have the maintenance since you can hardly get under them

fossil fuels are a good thing, now carbon MONOXIDE is whats emitted by the fossil fuels, thats the bad gases, carbon DIOXIDE is what plants use to make oxygen, but then the carbon monoxide kills the CO2 consuming plants

carbon DIoxide has 2 oxygen atoms per molecule, carbon MONOxide has only 1 oxygen atom

in fact, diesel motors produce much less carbon monoxide, if any, than a gasoline motored car

diesel fuels are also slower burning, thus meaning more efficiency
now diesel does burn thick black smoke, but for a short amount of time. the black color is due to high amounts of carbon, which i guess there's not much oxygen, so that explains the little to no emissions produced

now diesel motors tend to be used mainly for pickup trucks, 18 wheelers, buses of any kind, and in some full-size SUV's, but it is slghtly more expensive than a gas motor, but lasts WAY longer in terms of reliability. Thats why my entire family all have diesel motored trucks. very few cars, like the VW jetta, were powered by diesel engines. the diesel jetta was extremely efficient (like 40 MPG) compared to the usual 20-30 MPG gasoline motor

in terms of the cost of diesel engines, if there are people that cant afford a diesel operated vehicle, then they surely couldnt afford an electric car
