Hawaii: well, its pretty complicated.. i lived in solitude as my own country for almost 100 years, until America forced me to join him. i didn't want to die, so I said yes. it was hard at first, but I got used to it. i made a best friend in one of my brothers, California. and then, in 1959, dad came up to me and told me he was granting me and other sister alaska statehood. i didn't really know what it was, other than most of my brothers and sisters were "states". i ended up getting a voice in the president and congress. it was good. sometime in the 90s, i don't know exactly when, i got a letter from dad, an apology for forcibly taking me. i forgave him, but some of my people didn't. i don't remember much from before 1797, though.
