No it doesn't, it only documents the existence of christians and what historians heard from christians. That is like saying Star Trek is real because Trekkies exist.
“In the entire first christian century Jesus is not mentioned by a single Greek or Roman historian, religion scholar, politician, philosopher or poet. His name never occurs in a single inscription and it is never found in a single piece of private correspondence. Zero! Zip references.”
Bart Ehrman - Professor of Religious Studies, Uni of North Carolina
Incorrect, no historian during the supposed lifetime has made any mention of Jesus.
After his supposed death, Romans wrote about what they had heard from christians - who learnt the story decades after the supposed death.
The author of the first gospel set the story far enough back so there was nobody alive at the time to say, 'I was there and this didn't happen'.
The following gospels all plagiarise the first one, that is why they all contradict each other about Jesus. See image for more details.
Atheism isn't 'new age'. For as long as there has been claims of a god, there has been people who did not believe the claims. During the eras of polytheism, atheist groups existed among the many religious groups. It wasn't till monotheism took hold that atheists started being persecuted and kept their opinions to themselves. You may recall witch burnings, etc. anyone who didn't toe the line was dealt with harshly.
Atheist historians who were not alive at the time of Jesus, their references all come from christians who also were not alive at the time of Jesus. Nobody from the time Jesus was supposed to have existed was alive at the time the first gospel was written, the following gospels all plagiarise the first, that is why they all contradict each other. ;)
