The fight of rock-based genres

Real metal wins.
Hard rock gas been bastardized by pop.
Grunge was spectacular, but has fallen down. Millionaires untuning their guitars & crying about how much they hate their fans doesn't work like it used to.
Punk is the real shit, but again has been taken over by posers. You can fight the system if you're 70, drive a Mercedes & own your own island...

One thing, not all pop are bad tho, Michael Jackson f**king rocks and he was an awesome singer.

Yes, but alot of new pop is just the same overproduced music over and over with slightly altered lyrics. Most top 40 sounds the same today, cause musically it's identical.

What about rap?

A lot of that is also musically identical. Some is good, most is low effort. I have to go back a good number of years to find rap that has a distinct sound as opposed to being overproduced sound alikes.

But you can't deny that DMX, Snoop Dogg and Eminem are the gods of rap! Especially gangsta rap!

Dmx & Snoop are great. But they aren't exactly new rap music.
