Straight people: being able to show affection to their partner in public
LGBTQ people: not being able to show affection to partner + possibly getting harassed or hated on

Straight people: being called small insults
LGBTQ people: being called slurs and being harassed

By why should Straight people be called small insults? Why can't everyone just be nice to both kinds of people?

Because the world isn't a nice place. Sure, its rude to insult people, but when you're insulting people who are against you existing for who you are then it gets different. Not all straights are homo/transphobic but being called the "default setting" isn't as bad as being bullied or beat up for being transgender or gay.
