Okay, I get it, black people have been told by employers and teachers that their hair looked unnatural, unprofessional, faddish, unkempt, etc, and we've recently found ways to have curly/kinky/textured hair look neat without completely jacking up our hair's biochemical makeup. That being said, some of us still use chemical and/or heat treatments, as well as weaves and wigs. Why the heck are we calling it "cultural appropriation"?
