DOE | 3. The faster the speed the bigger the mess- I can’t take my eyes off you
Another really well known ad campaign from DOE and is in fact the first one I ever watched. A young couple are up against a wall, as the boyfriend lifts his girlfriend up to sit on the wall as they look in each other’s eyes. A song plays in the background ‘I can’t take my eyes off you’. Then we hear the sound of a crash as the girlfriend looks on in horror as a car barrels towards her and her boyfriend, crushing them both against the wall and killing the boyfriend instantly.

Not only that but the other car that the driver crashed into hits another car, injuring a woman and killing another passenger. We then see the girlfriend being taken to hospital for surgery and the boyfriend’s parents viewing their son’s body. The ad ends in a court room with the girlfriend watching the driver as the judge tells him that it was quite clear he was driving too fast to cope with the unexpected, as we see that he was speeding and panicked to avoid a dog that darted across the road, and we get one last shot of the girlfriend visiting her boyfriend’s grave. | image tagged in doe | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
