Technically, everyone has rights.
I’m republican, and I don’t give a shit whether or not gay people marry. If you’re born male and claim yourself to be female, that’s cool, I’ll respect that. You can be a she, but you’re still technically a man. If you don’t like being called he or she, that’s fine too. Personally, idgaf if anyone wants to be who they are. I encourage others to express themselves. Love who you love, it doesn’t matter to me. Be who you are, it doesn’t matter to me. What does matter is when it gets chaotic and violent. That’s when I stop supporting it. But until it gets to that point, do whatever the f**k you want.

As a conservative Roman Catholic I take serious offense to this meme...quit trying to construe all Christian denominations as being anti-LGBTQ+ civil rights. It's tired, it's egregiously false, and it does nothing but paint us in a bad light when we absolutely affirm the right of all to be treated equally under the law.

You are right about some christians, like myself, being all for LGBTQ+ rights and everything else but when you have the majority of christians screaming and crying that basic human rights are sins in God’s eyes it is EXTREMELY hard not to paint all christians in a bad light.

That's the problem; Most of them don't. America has always had hardline groups of Protestants with a history of persecuting those who disagree with them...history shows this through decades of anti-Catholic persecution, anti-Irish and anti-Mexican action, etc...but they're fringe groups. Catholics and the largest sects of breakaway Protestants (Lutherans, etc) make up something like 85%* of all Christians worldwide and none of them officially teach that anyone should be subject to fewer civil rights for any reason other than breaking the law. The anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric comes from the same people who think the Pope is a cult leader, etc...idiots, in other words, who understand nothing of what the Bible says.

I am fond of saying that 90% of the acrimony comes from the 10% radical fringe of a given political side. It's no different with this issue.

The Bible says being normal is how to get to heaven? What verses?

Also, don't assume I'm an arheist or a Democrat just because I don't believe the Bible. I'm neither.
