So what was I supposed to do?

Use logic against haters. It’s too easy to just make fun of people but explaining your point of view is so much more affective and mature. Haters spending all of their free time discussing about how they hate something is just weird. If you really hate something you wouldn’t want to hear about it every single day.

You know that never works?

It worked many times for me that’s why I suggested it. Some of them start a fight in the comment and then when we point out how illogical their behavior is, they quit. Most of them are young, they heard some people hating something and want to feel like one of the gang. Social studies periodicals have a lot of interesting articles on haters and it really helps understanding some situations.

Besides, most anime haters use the argument that anime fans are ‘toxic kids’ and that kind of image just proves them right. This is not an acceptable behavior, we don’t want to feel attacked by that kind of image and spam, why would we do it? There’s so much more to discuss about, just find the way to explain your point of view without entering the game.

You say it never works, then you say it’s dumb when someone tells you from their experience it worked. You don’t want to debate, fine. Just make sure whenever you’re trying to hate the haters you don’t make an entire community seem toxic. It just cause the anime fans more problems.
