The phobia part in homophobia and trans phobia means you hate them or are against them. Not agreeing with them is fine, but being against someone for something they can't control is discrimination. Just like how people of color are discriminated just for the color of their skin the same is with LGBTQ because of their sexuality or gender identity

I simply disagree with it, but it IS an abomination
Believe whatever you want to my dude. Just don't say shit like that to LGBTQ peoples faces that they are "abominations" as you say
Instead lead them to Jesus instead of making a bad impression you hate them >:/

I didnt say the person was, but the act of being LGBT was abomination, i have gay friends and theyre actually decent people, they support Trump, they disagree to the Biden admin, they just got messed up by another gay
If what you mean is you're interested in the Biblical reasoning behind the origin of the belief, you could visit this link. It at least makes a lot of sense to me personally.
I feel that this article (and the related ones) explain really well how Christians can (and SHOULD) love and relate to gay and bi people while still disagreeing with them. I don't think we should go around yelling at everyone else to change what they believe, and Christians who do are being hateful, and that's not ok. But as long as we AREN'T being hateful, I think it should be ok for us to have differing beliefs that don't always fully support and agree with everyone's else's.
While this article did reveal to me that the website has made some (concerning) false claims (like about COVID), I would like to point out that the particular article I linked in my comment is really just an explanation of Christian beliefs and the reasons for them. And... You can't exactly "fact check" a belief, right? Yes, it's a very biased website. It's whole purpose is explaining the Christian side of the story: our view on things. (I would again like to say that I definitely don't support any *scientific* claims they have made that are false. That's just not ok.)

Interesting - however, I thought the belief was strawmanning the beliefs of those who think LGBTQ+ should be included in the church. Read this (https://reformationproject.org/biblical-case/) and come back; I'm not saying you must agree, I just think you might want to see this.

Thank you for sharing that with me. I think it's always helpful to understand more about what the other side of a debate believes and where they are coming from! I can see how this different interpretation of the Bible could make sense, and I'm not going to try to convince you that you're definitely wrong. Thank you for not insisting that I agree with you, either! I feel like this was a really respectful and helpful informative conversation. 😊

Yeah, you're welcome! =) I found it helpful too (explains things so much better than my brain can!)
Because, by and large, we do not support the community. Don't get me wrong, we love you and everyone else, but the actions taken by the LGBTQ community are disgusting and wrong.
