Don't feel bad, neither do most of the others who spout of about the 2nd Amendment, Guns, and Gun Control.
Stick with things you might know something about, like, say, gaming, or,...well that's probably about it.

It doesn't work that way. There are several guns already in existence. Plus there are plans online to make 3D printed guns. Plus all of the guns made in other countries.

In addition there will always be a black market. You will never stop guns or anything else being sold on the black market.

If you stopped all production of guns here you won't even make a dent.

Not to mention that most guns used in the commission of crimes are stolen.

99.999% of gun owners who purchased their firearms at a gun store or gun show and went through all of the procedures the government imposes on gun purchasers will never ever use a gun in the commission of a crime.

Guns are used at least 3.6 times more to stop a crime than to commit a crime.

Furthermore, the 2nd Amendment isn't only about protection against crime or bodily injury...it's primary purpose is to give us, the citizens, the ability to defend ourselves from tyrannical government officials who subvert that Constitution and the rights guaranteed therin.
