Basically, Dream and Nightmare met up in an AU that was having a genocide timeline, and Nightmare is making fun of Dream, blaming him for what happened to Nightmare. Dream, feeling guilty, goes back to Dreamtale, and finds one more negative apple. Suddenly, Dream hears a voice, telling him to eat the apple. It was trying to control his actions, and Dream gave in. Nightmare saw this, and Dream knew he had to think of a lie. He told Nightmare that he tried to stop it, but couldn't. Nightmare knew he was lying, saying that it looked like he just gave in. A few minutes later, and Dream was gone. Shattered was in his place, and Nightmare scared. Shattered went to UNDERSWAP, and Nightmare, now in his passive form, meets Ink, and Night tells him about how UNDERSWAP could be in danger.
