Ugh my brain does this too. I think I might've had a panic attack when I was ALONE in my room in the dark and my brain was like "nono you're being an ATTENTION SEEKER and you're just OVERREACTING" 🙄 It is good to take your emotions seriously tho and like not totally doubt yourself. It's not your fault and if you're feeling panicking you deserve to find a way to feel better!
