Hi, it’s nice to see you’ve taken an interest in me. As to your statement I would disagree. The words “normal opinion” would be the differentiation. See, the left is an ideology based on tearing down traditional institutions in order to bring about a utopian world devoid of the perceived inequities of the past. By definition, the “traditional institutions” are the baseline for “normality” and thus normal opinions. So to try to reverse that argument to apply to the right would be erroneous in that the right tends to be conservative, as in conserving or defending tradition institutions. That would be my disagreement.

Your first point is that leftism does not seek to deconstruct traditional institutions. Your second point seeks to delegitimize the concept of preserving traditional institutions. Do you see how when you argue to try to win an argument without caring about finding the truth, you will always end up arguing with yourself?

The natural way for society to progress is to have honest, candid discussion where all parties can make their point in an environment of good faith; where anytime someone finds themselves in the wrong, they feel free to admit it without being cast out.

Slavery is wrong; it was wrong when the Egyptians did it, it was wrong when the Romans did it, it was wrong when the Muslims did it, it was wrong when the Spanish did it, it was wrong when the United States did it, it is wrong that the CCP does it. Because a wrong thing was done does not condemn all things that were done to being evil or wrong. Most of our current moral values are derived from tradition.
