Back in the 2000's when the internet was going wild someone posted a picture of a kitten burning on ogrish.com, a site for gore and death that was replaced with Liveleak at some time. the kitten burnt to death and someone made a remix with doom music, and one guy said "nothing justifies animal abuse, not even doom music."
Not even doom music became NEDM, a popular meme usually with a photo of happy cat (above.)
Thankfully they caught the person burning the cat and the video was taken down.
