I'd prefer laws that are not useless.

they're only useless if we don't enforce them. i'm pro-gun in the sense of self-defense and protection of liberties as we believe were intended by the framers of the Constitution. but to stand by and do nothing to limit the regular killing of innocents is more indefensible. it would be nice to choose the 'no evils' button but i can't seem to find that one.

Actually no, they're useless when they do not fix the problem when enforced. And more laws doesn't fix not enforcing already existing laws either.
