"Nobody needs an assault weapon"

I don't know anyone who owns an assault weapon.

What my friends and I own are defense weapons.

A1. My weapons just lie there. They don't do anything.

If I assault you with my boot, does that make it an assault boot or an assault weapon, or both? Explain how it works exactly. You seem to know more than us folks that have the scary black rifle.

If you assault someone with a hammer is it then an assault hammer. Or just a hammer that some nutbag used as a weapon? There is your answer then.
