i don't know if i'd go that far, Maddy. it was certainly what a lot of people wanted to hear. and selfish from the point of view of a lot of countries experiencing true poverty on a national scale. and it is one of the first things a lot of dictators say ("us first") to rally support for their coup. i'm just trying to see things from the other peoples' points of view. maybe you could say a little bit about why America should be more first than it already is? the gov'ts certainly need to take better care of most Americans, but the Dems seem to have that goal in mind.
