Yeah. Most people would prefer a giant coal powerplant ripping up the land

Oh, thank you, because I believe I heard you volunteer to put a 600 foot spinning industrial wind turbine within 1250 feet of your bedroom window. Just so you know, a 600 foot turbine is 45 feet taller than the Washington Monument. Enjoy the flashing red lights at night.

Please watch this film called Windfall and see if you still feel the same way. You will need to cut & paste the link, and then click on the arrows to expand to full screen. It's and eye opener. Let me know what you think. https://www.wind-watch.org/video-windfall.php

I am aware that many renewables are unreliable. Very much so. But there are reliable ways to get electricity renewably. Space solar panels would work at all times. Hydro and Nuclear also work at all times. In fact, why don't we use Thorium instead of Uranium. It could provide 200x as much energy as Uranium and Plutonium per tonne, as well as being relatively abundant and even safer than Uranium/Plutonium, not to mention that the waste is only toxic for a few hundred years. Uranium lasts thousands.

Hydro is fine as long as there is a way for fish to go around the dam. Thorium, while still unrenewable is an amazing short term solution until we find better sources of energy.
