Gay Captain America

What are you talking about? Marvel cranks out sixteen new heroes every month and has done for the last fifty years. It's you who's only looking at the hero you've heard of.

If they are cranking out sixteen new heroes monthly, create one or more of them as gay. Don't remake an existing hero with a different sexuality, race or ethnicity. Allow each character to be authentic. The popularity of cartoon characters is the readers, viewers, listeners being able to identify with them.

Again, they do. All the time. You don't notice because you're only looking at the one character.

By the way, 11 different characters have been given the title Captain America over the years. That, too, is something you would know if you ACTUALLY have a shit about comic books instead of having a stick up your ass about gay people.

My point is still valid and the 'fact' you site that "they do. All the time", create new characters further solidifies my point, which is - there is no need to change the sexual orientation of an existing character. And your comment about me "having a stick up your ass about gay people" does not offend me. You no nothing about me, therefore, what you think of me is meaningless.

It's not! Marvel have done everything you wished they would do for decades BUT YOU WEREN'T A READER AND YOU DIDN'T KNOW.

Now they want to do something different. And they're supposed to wait for YOU to be OK with it? You who didn't even know that Marvel write new characters all the time, some of them gay? You who didn't know that Captain America has been changed dozens of times, some of them gay?

WHY would they EVER invest in making someone WHO ISN'T EVEN A READER happy?

THAT'S the point.

I'm shared that, as a fan of super heroes, I find it unnecessary to change a character's sexual orientation. Nothing more, nothing less. And I shared this with whoever is out there in imgflip land, not the creators of comic books. I'm not asking them to make me happy.

HOW are you a fan of superheroes if you can't think of six gay ones Marvel have created in the last fifteen years off the top of your head?

Let me put it this way: if you didn't know that there were newly created gay superheroes, then it didn't work, did it? To make you notice, this is what it took. Do you see why it's necessary now?

Why would they restrict themselves to methods that you never noticed to begin with?

You're NOT a fan. This is BASIC stuff about the superhero genre that any fan would know.

Nobody buys them. Marvel literally sends boxes of sjw comics in with orders for free when comic stores make orders from them, then they update their 'sales' numbers.
Before closing down, the local comic store had a permanent 'free comic with every purchase' offer and was very open that it was just crap he was getting for free -- and people still didn't often take them so it didn't help overall.

Comic enthusiasts have been covering marvel comics circling the drain on YouTube for a while.
