Maybe, but it can push it 1 hour ahead, so you can get more sleep for that. More Nighttime, more sleep, or seeing stars.

I read about a Native American chief hearing about daylight savings time & said "only the govt would think you could cut a foot off the top of a blanket & sew it onto the bottom and then think you have a longer blanket"

it is not silly because if not for it, in summer at 8 pm it would still be very bright
