Well, first of all, he had a pet ram, who he took on walks, which at one point killed a small boy during a rampage. He had articles written criticizing Adams while he was still Vice-President. He severely criticized slavery, but owned hundreds of slaves. Let me just say, Jefferson wearing a pink sparkly coat in Hamilton is a good representation of his character

as for the ram, it appears Thomas was not aware the boy was killed. to the articles written on Adams...why is that a problem? and to slavery, he inherited all his slaves and set them all free. he was a lawyer who helped slaves get free for Christ's sake. now that we're on the topic of Hamilton, hamilton was a massive slave trader and owner yet you down hear everyone talking abt that.

Nope. He didn't free any of his slaves. At all. Not even Sally Hemmings, whom he repeatedly raped. The articles on Adams where written whilst Thomas Jefferson was vice-president. Under Adams. It wasn't the smartest of moves. He still had a pet ram that he took on walks. Yeah.

"In 1779, as a practical solution, Jefferson supported gradual emancipation, training, and colonization of African-American slaves rather than immediate manumission, believing that releasing unprepared persons with no place to go and no means to support themselves would only bring them misfortune. In 1784, Jefferson proposed a federal law banning slavery in the New Territories of the North and South after 1800, which failed to pass Congress by one vote." he didn't set his slaves free all at once, but he did. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Jefferson_and_slavery.
