Um, I don't suppose it matters to you that the linked order literally directs ERCOT to use all available resources before exceeding environmental standards but that it may depending on what ERCOT deems necessary to avoid outages.
The fact is, they still couldn't keep up because of the largely independent grid (they can bring in much power from nearby states... it's why colder states north of TX didn't have the same problem) and the internal systems all failed to meet demand.
I would be annoyed at Yournews if I were you for clearly misrepresenting the order. Yournews is not a real news site btw but a small group of rightwing conspiracy nutters.
