That is what Darwin himself thought and KNEW. Sadly, the ape-man Adam and Eve were mistaken for chimps. That's why some people believe not only that evolution condradicts religion, but also that chimpanzees from the modern era gave rise to humans from thousands of years ago. Some of these people even added antropocentrism by thinking this monkey to man process was intentional but without a creator. Yet, as we know, God created all creatures as prototypes and let natural selection sculpt their looks and behaviour until the end.
