one, as a black person, no I will not put Jefferson's beliefs of slavery behind. Even Hamilton's and I'm a Hamilton fan.
Two, are we just gonna ignore Sally?
Three, the quote underneath, is a quote referring to the revolution. NOT his opinions in slavery. It is referring that they would rather fight and die than live under the control of the monarchy. Four, He did NOT free his slaves, unlike how it was in Washington's will for them to be free after his death. Although he did free 5 in his will, but that is a small number comparing to the hundreds he owned. Ahem, YOU ARE JUST GOING TO EXCUSE THE PHYSICAL PAIN, MENTAL PAIN THAT THEY WENT THROUGH FOR HIM, THE RICH WHITE FOUNDING FATHER, JUST FOR YOU TO SAY "Well, we can put this behind us." NO! WE CAN NOT PUT THIS BEHIND US! ITS BECAUSE OF RACIAL PROBLEMS BACK THEN THAT WE HAVE RACIAL PROBLEMS N O W!

SIX, NOW YES, HE DID BAN THE SLAVE TRADE AND OPPOSED SLAVERY BUT HE STILL DIDNT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THAT! HE STILL OWNED PEOPLE LIKE MY ANCESTORS WERE PIGS TO BUY! I'M NOT JUST TALKING ABOUT JEFFERSON BUT MOST PEOPLE AT THAT TIMELINE!
