So Multiplayer has a lot of dumb stuff in it. Everyone has the ability to carry 2 Semtex bombs (even new players), snipers are 1-shot kills from anywhere on the map, there are 8 maps, most of which make camping the easiest thing, and you only have 29 gun options.
I don’t mind having 29, but I’d like to point out that MW had 39 options.
Zombies is awesome... at least, Die Maschine is. I haven’t gotten around to playing Firebase Z enough times to make a solid conclusion on it. Die Maschine has a lot of open spaces where you don’t have to worry about getting trapped, and the map and storyline are pretty simple. Firebase Z is way more complicated. I’m going to need to keep playing that dozens of times before I figure out what the heck is going on there.
The campaign is fun for the most part. It’s got a pretty coherent storyline if a bit goofy. I’d say the best missions are the ones that don’t involve a huge gunfight. Like the KGB building.
Lots of the complaints I hear about Cold War are usually about Multiplayer, and I can’t say I blame them. So is it bad? I can’t say I’ve played it enough to figure it out (even after 2 months of playing it). But I would really recommend using zombies (especially Die Maschine) to level up your guns quick.
