Because I think cats are more affectionate than strollers, in addition to other reasons of personal preference, such as: affinity with the animal in general.

that is true the cat got its start protecting wheat and other foods from rats being that they ate the rats but not the food so nobody got uppity and stabbed them. but dogs often helped get meats and manage the meats (hunting ducks with there owners) and herding sheep and other animals. to be honest its mostly opinion really
