I also use invisibility potions and make mobs attack each other. I build it with obsidian for the creepers

ah yes that is why i hug a creeper but once they gotta explode i run away so they dont explode but i still can hug them t e m p o r a r i l y

Just use a creeper head, although not fully invulnerable to an explosion, you can still sneak around it
