Because if you go back in time, will there be two of you running around or will you replace yourself? If it's the latter, what will happen to your memories? If not, it would have to be an endless loop, because you go back in time, then you have to grow up and do it again. Also, what happens to you in the present time?

yeah it depends on when you go to. I think that if you go to somewhere BEFORE you were born, you would duplicate, but then you would not know that you time traveled because your memories are part of you, so they travel with you, and then once you reach the time of your birth, it would create a paradox because of the memories you got while waiting for yourself to be born, so your new born self would be born with your memories which would drive you crazy and kill you

If you killed your grandmother before you were born, you would cease to exist, but you didn't because obviously you were born because you were able to time travel.

so you wouldnt even know you traveled, and you would be stuck in an infinite loop up until the moment you traveled, so then it would all repeat and you wouldnt even know. You would not be able to change anything at all, just re-live it, without knowing it isnt your first time doing it.
