Sweden [yes i friggin stan this beautiful country] is the third most democratic country as of 2020. Nudity is actually common, and welcomed, in public. There's even a painting of a naked man next to a school.
Not saying that is good or bad, I'm just showing that there's a lot of freedom there.
And gay marriage is perfectly legal! And so is all religion, most of Swedes being atheist too. So if you are a pastor who has a gay couple asking for a wedding, you are completely free to deny it, too.
Most of the solid blue countries in there are the same, actually.
Now.
I don't think there should be laws on whether gay marriage is legal or dissed upon. But in all honesty, people act differently towards things that are "weird". Thanks to society, being queer is "weird". So there's going to be laws like that.
