My girl once I start fixing the problem: "No, I don't want you to fix it, I just wanted to tell you that there's a problem!"
Me: "Then why did you tell me if you don't want it fixed? WHY don't you want it fixed?!"
My girl: "I just want someone to know that there's a problem, and affirm that there is a problem!"
Me: "PROBLEMS ARE MADE TO BE FIXED!!!"
Her: "BUT THEN I WON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT TO GET ATTENTION!!!"
Me: "... that makes no fricking sense."
Her: "IT DOESN'T HAVE TO!!! JUST AFFIRM THAT I'M RIGHT THAT THERE'S A PROBLEM, AND LEAVE IT BE!!!"
Me: "... yes, you're right. There is a problem. Now, if you let me fix it, we don't have to keep living with it."
Her: "Don't. Try. To. Fix. It."
Me: *fixes it later when she isn't looking*
