What do you mean by equipment? You don't need all that much for dnd other than dice, character sheets, knowledge, and a willingness to sell your soul to the dice gods

Nope, besides almost everything you need for dnd is online. Dice, the player's handbook, character sheets, etc.
You just gotta look for it and be patient. Having someone to bombard with questions helps too. There's a lot to learn but most of it comes from experience.
While some argue that having physical items helps, just use the digital stuff for a bit and you get used to it very quickly.
