To be honest, I really have never chosen a side. I've always voted both ways on policies not so much if I liked the candidate him or herself. I've looked back over the last few years and watched the media relentlessly attack Trump over flat out lies. U ever wonder why every politician is rich? Why they never want to leave politics? It's because they are all corrupt and not just Democrats, Republicans too. How much did your life change when Trump became president, did we have WW 3 like they said we would, did the stock market crash like they said it would, did the US become Nazi Germany like they said they would. Those we're all things I heard on CNN. When the news media and a political party are on the same side which seems to be the case from what I've witnessed I would say yeah, these are the early phases of communism.
